RELEASE 1.1
written by Pedro Moleiro
moleiro@ip.pt
I wrote this program as my phone provider has diferent pulse cost
depending on the time of day the call is made, and i needed to know how
many seconds do i have until next pulse drop.
It started as a hack of wmppp, and with the help of loadmeter
and asclock is now what you can see. In a few words, aspbm checks if a
ppp connection exists and starts counting. The ppp connection can be
started and stoped with aspbm or any other app. It displays the time
on-line, time until next pulse drop, transfer speed, graph with in/out
bytes and some other info.
Starting in release 1.1 aspbm is also a clock. My wharf is kind
of full and having aspbm always running when it was only used for a
little time was no way. So i decided to add an asclock hack, freeing the
space used for asclock for something else, and change to dialing view
only when needed.
A GTK app for the configuration of aspbm is available with the
release source code. Read INSTALL. It requires GTK 1.2
INSTALL
Instalation is simple, read the INSTALL, HINTS file for
instalation, and the man pages for the configuration files.
