Interesting. I guess that explains some of the differences in behaviour.

08:53:02> ls -l `which netscape`
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root          28 Jan 25  1998 /usr/sbin/netscape -> /usr/local/netscape/netscape*
08:53:38> ls -l /usr/local/netscape/netscape
-r-xr-xr-x   1 root     wheel    10195080 Sep  2 12:38 /usr/local/netscape/netscape*

Where did you get your version of Netscape? Mine is the latest that I could 
find yesterday.
