	No, Afterstep does not use syslog, all error and ommission from
AfterStep are sent to stderr (where ever your syslog.conf tells that to
go).  This is typically the console.
	In cases such as using xdm or the like, I pressume the admin has
set it up so the user is able to log errors to a file (e.g. ~/.Xerrors),
then you'd just tail this file, or look at it if a command fails.
