hello,
	first of all you may want to take a look at the PPP-Howto at
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO.  That explains how to create
your own ppp scripts, etc.  Another thing that I find rather useful is a
wharf/dock application called wmppp (search for it on freshmeat.net)
which allows you to connect or disconnect to/from a ppp server with a
click of a button (provided you've set up your ppp scripts first of
course).  I hope you find this information useful, good luck.
