A couple of programs you can use to get font names: xfontsel & xlsfonts
Also, you probably can press SHIFT and Keypad-Plus (or Keypad-Minus) to
cycle through the default builtin font selections.

xlsfonts also gives the aliases for fonts, e.g. "10x20", "12x24" (if they
exist on your system).  Usage example:
% aterm -fn 10x20
% aterm -fn '-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--20-200-75-75-c-100-iso8859-1'
