1.  Because you are particularly interested in one thread of conversation,
and multiple threads have the same subject, it's much more difficult to
follow.

2.  Time is precious

3.  People are more apt to respond to a message that is descriptive than a
non-descriptive one.  A subject of "Help!!" won't catch the eye of someone
who has seen the problem before, and perhaps knows the answer.
