flying windows

I am running AS 1.7.90. When I uniconify windows they often place
themselve off the screen entirely. This seems to happen at random. For
example, I use gvim for editing. When I iconify a file that I am editing
it will come back to its original place when uniconified. However, after
doing this a couple of times, it will start to uniconify off the screen.
Sometimes I can restore the on-screen placement by clicking winlist.
Often, I must kill the window and start over. I have tried various
combinations of SmartPlacement and RandomPlacement in the feel file but
nothing seems to work.

Any recommendations are appreciated as this is getting to be an annoying
feature.

Thanx,
-S.
