Uniconifying windows

I too have the problem with windows uniconifying off (almost) the screen.
It is not a case of them returning to their original desk. I can take a
window from a given desk/page, iconify it, wait awhile w/o changing pages
and uniconify it. Sometimes (it seems rather random) the window will
uniconify to a position off the page where only a resize handle is

I'm running v1.7.99, began to notice this behaviour in early patches
(like ~patch 3 or 4? Sorry I don't recall exactly)

Other observations that may be useful in tracking this down...:
1) There doesn't seem to be any way to predict whether a window will
uniconify to The Right Place or not---it's independent of the

2) It only seems to happen if the window has been iconified for a fair
amount of time (more than a few seconds or minutes)

3) When it goes off-screen, it always goes to the top-left or top-right
corner---never to the bottom.

4) I don't see any console messages when it happens so no reports of
errors like the once-hynoptic alarmalarmalarm :)

5) I can't say I've ever seen it happen when I use Mouse Button 3 in the
WinList, but that could be coincidence.

Any other info that I can provide I'll be happy to look into.
