But surely aterm contains a buffer, couldn't you just parse the buffer for
'http://......<space>' and mark it as a url.

You could always make things like this an optional extra activated from
./configure (--enable-flashy_rubbish=YES) All the features, but only if you
want them.

but i didn't write afterstep so i'm probably wrong :-)
