Hmmm, i should have thought to do that. I'm used to software that when
there is a make error, make gives up. AfterStep doesn't seem to have
that feature, as it kept right on going after giving errors. And there
were several errors, all of them along the lines of "X11/xpm.h: No such
file or directory". I checked the requirements again, and i should have
xpm-devel to compile AfterStep. I don't have that. Right now i don't
have my Mandrake install CDs, but this weekend or early next week i'll
try to dig up the RPM for xpm-devel and after installing it, i'll give
AfterStep another go. I'll post my results back here. Thank you for the
