Dear list,

I use aterm 1.0.0-2 on a Debian unstable box, and experienced that the
line-drawing characters in mc (Midnight Commander) get substituted with
annoying question marks, take a look at this:

http://kapica.phy.bme.hu/~vanyolos/mc-border.png

The font I use is: -dec-terminal-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-*-*-c-80-*-1

It is probably the font that's causing the problem, since with -fixed
font mc displays just fine. Note that under xterm, the above
dec-terminal fonts work like charm.

Does anybody know how to resolve this little, but annoying issue, I
wouldn't wanna change these nice fonts cause I got so used to them...

best regards
Andras Vanyolos
