Welcome to AfterStep applets distribution home site.
- AfterStep applet list
- AfterStep applet download
- AfterStep mailing lists archives
- Sounds download
- X11 and Xlib manuals download
You will find here: some news and articles below on this page; the applet download directory contains all of the applets for all the versions I could get my hands on; you can look through the list of applets.
The e-mail archives of both AfterStep Development mailing list and AfterStep User mailing list are kept at this site since 1998. You can go to the archive page to see the indexes and do the searches.
There is a couple of other things: a list of links to various AfterStep and applets related sites, the documentation on X Windows, mirror of the AfterStep FAQ and sound files to use for events in AfterStep.
2007/04/12 asmem 1.12
The last version of asmem applet did not really fix anything, sorry about that. We missed a return type for the function. Now that has been fixed (and a couple of small other things) with the help from Michael Krelin and everything should work fine, finally.
2007/04/09 asmail 2.1 and asmem 1.11
The applet asmail has been updated. All versions before this (2.1) have a serious bug in error handling where printing an error message potentially leads to incorrect error handling. This has been fixed by a patch kindly provided by Rainer Weikusat.
The asmem applet has been updated with the help of a patch from Michael Krelin to handle large amounts of memory and swap space under Linux. The new version is 1.11.
2007/02/27 asmail 2.0 introduces SSL support!
The applet asmail has been updated. The new version is 2.0. This version has been prepared by Martin Kaiser who implemented the SSL support into asmail. Now you can finally use IMAP over SSL for your e-mail checking! Thank you, Martin!
